Brief Description & Architecture

CivicFlow is an enterprise-grade, citizen-first municipal service intake, grievance redressal, and SLA governance platform. It bridges the gap between urban residents and municipal field departments through high-precision geotagged reporting, photographic evidence capture, transparent operational tracking, SLA breach escalation, and citizen-verified resolution. This repository houses the frontend client built with Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, and Tailwind CSS v4, communicating with the CivicFlow REST API.

Challenges Faced While Developing

1. Cross-origin cookie auth. 2. Session hydration and role guards. 3. Keeping state machine consistent between frontend and backend. 4. The Bkash Payment flow. 5. Optimistic updates with TanStack Query. (First time used in a real project). 6 Scope and consistency across three portals. 7. SLA and time-based features

Potential Improvements & Future Plans

1. Automated testing. 2. Planning to implement a Bangla language version of the site and localization of the system. 3. Offline and poor-network resilience. 4. Maps and geospatial features. 5. Security hardening as there have more and more cybersecurity breaches in recent times.
